Copilot for Microsoft 365

What is Copilot and what versions are available?
Microsoft has unified all of its AI offerings under the name of Copilot. As of July 2024 there are currently three general versions of Copilot available:
- Copilot Free: This is available to anyone using Windows, Edge or the Bing website. It is designed to help you find information and create content.
- Copilot Pro: Enhances the free version by using the latest version of GPT, offering faster responses with priority access in addition to the latest features and improved accuracy.
- Copilot for Microsoft 365: Integration with Microsoft 365 including secure access to your data. It also enhances Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams with additional features.
There are also specialised versions of Copilot for Finance and Security.
What can I do with Copilot for Microsoft 365?

What is a Copilot+ PC?
A Copilot+ PC is a Windows PC that includes a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that can performance at least 40 trillion operations per minute, at least 16GB of RAM, and at least 256GB of storage.
Having these hardware features allows the PC to run some AI features locally on the PC such as image generation, advanced background blurring and the Microsoft Recall feature. Third party software is also able to make use of the NPU if it is supported.
What is the Copilot key?
Many new laptops and keyboards include a dedicated Copilot key, which replaces the menu key on the right-hand side of the space bar. This allows quick access to Copilot. If you don’t have a Copilot key, you can use the press the Windows + C keys to serve the same function.
