Atmosphere IT currently comprises a team of five highly qualified professionals supporting around 1,300 users from all over the country, with the majority of their clients hailing from Berkshire and the surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on fast, honest, friendly and responsive assistance and deliver comprehensive IT support across all the essentials, including internet connections, cloud services, VoIP telephony and everything in between.

Managing Director Dan Hayward has spent much of his career developing and working with cloud software. His more than 20-years of experience working for managed and cloud service providers has been instrumental in the success of Atmosphere IT. Utilising the technology to deliver everything from small business networks to enterprise-grade virtualisation platforms, the key objective for Atmosphere IT is not only to install the most cost- effective solutions but at the same time ensuring complete protection through compliance with legislation and standards such as ISO 9001 and 27001.

Cloud computing is now imperative for the efficient running of most businesses, and Atmosphere IT has been able to seamlessly implement it into their clients’ IT across the UK in a way that complements their business and provides improved security. Dan and his team backup equipment, servers, and data securely to UK-based data centres and further encrypt those backups for added peace of mind. Options to back-up on-premise and to the cloud are available, too, as well as disaster recovery, allowing them to power up their clients’ servers at a remote location almost instantly.

Dan Hayward

Managing Director

I have a passion for providing great IT support to small businesses. I understand that SMB owners need time to focus on their own business, rather than fixing IT issues. My vision for Atmosphere IT was to provide exactly that – responsive and valued IT support and services all without a massive price tag. I have over 20 years of experience in doing just that with my key focus being helping our customers to make the most of their IT.

My career in IT started in primary school; back when I was in year 5, the school did not have an IT team and given my natural abilities I quickly became the unofficial IT support student. Teachers from other classes would ask to borrow me to help with the AV kit and the in-class laptop. Fast forward to today, I have worked with huge companies such as Deliveroo, Freemantle Media and The FA providing IT support and delivering solutions to improve efficiency and provide a more harmonious experience between IT and employees.

We offer a range of technical IT support options for our clients depending on their specific requirements. This ranges from a PAYG model to all-inclusive support services, including the option for an onsite resource. For a large client of ours, we have a support technician based in their offices five days a week, dedicated to helping their users.

All our support bundles include remote management and monitoring of the customers’ end-user computing devices to ensure we can remotely connect to them quickly, without the need to download or install additional software.

We provide IT support and consultancy for SME/SMBs, with the capability to become their one-stop IT provider. We help support, install, and maintain our customers’ IT infrastructure – from computers and networks to internet connections and cloud services.

We have partnered up with an organisation called Ecologi. They help us plant trees and fund other environmental projects such as wind farms and stopping deforestation around the world. The work they do for us more than offsets our carbon emissions, making us a Carbon Positive Workforce.

In addition to contributing funds each month for every employee, we also offset all hardware purchased to increase our impact. We are now planting trees for every PC, laptop, tablet, or server sold, and we have backdated this to 2019, when we started the business. So far, we have funded the planting of 1,619 trees and have already reduced our carbon footprint by 11.25 tonnes from the wind farms and other projects. We are helping the Atmosphere, whilst supporting your IT! You can find out more about this partnership at www.ecologi.com/atmosphereitltd.

It is important to have someone just a phone call away that knows you and your business inside out, whether you need some general advice or hands-on assistance with a particular problem. Having a trusted, dependable, and responsive IT partner is crucial for business continuity and disaster recovery. By maintaining, monitoring, managing, and securing your systems, you can keep your computers running at their best, allowing you to work efficiently with as little downtime as possible.
